How often should you have your house professionally cleaned?
Weekly, fortnightly or monthly: how to choose a cleaning frequency that suits your home and budget.

There is no single right answer
The right frequency depends on how many people live in the home, whether you have pets or young kids, how much time you spend there, and what you want it to feel like when you walk in the door.
Weekly
Best for busy households, homes with pets, kids or allergies, and anyone who wants the home consistently fresh. Each visit is quicker because there is less to catch up on, which usually makes it good value per clean.
Fortnightly
The most popular choice. Surfaces and bathrooms stay under control, and floors and kitchens never get far out of hand. It suits most couples and small families.
Monthly
A good option for smaller homes or people who clean lightly in between. Expect each visit to cover more ground, so it is worth starting with a deep clean.
Where deep cleans fit in
Regular cleans keep a baseline. A deep clean once or twice a year handles the places regular visits skip: oven, rangehood, skirting boards, grout and window tracks. It is also the best first visit before starting a regular schedule.
How to decide
Start with fortnightly. If the home still feels behind between visits, move to weekly; if it is staying fresh, try monthly. You can change at any time with 48 hours’ notice, with no lock-in contract.
